Lady Gaga Drops the Ball, Rocks Times Square

Receiving the honor of being selected to ring in the New Year in Times Square, Lady Gaga joined Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg in dropping the ball in New York City on Saturday night (December 31).

The famous moment saw the "Edge of Glory" singer decked out in a fabulous Versace creation as she and the Big Apple leader ushered in 2012 by counting down the final seconds as the ball comprised of 22,000 LED lights embedded in Waterford Crystal descended from above.

Along with her joint effort with Mayor Bloomberg, Gaga also took the stage for a spectacular performance for the people lining the NYC streets, along with the millions of viewers watching the Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2012 show at home.

During her time in the spotlight, the 25-year-old offered up a medley of hits comprised of the trio of tunes "Heavy Metal Lover," "Marry the Night" and "Born This Way" - with the showcase available to be viewed in the player found above.
